Evangelical Central Archives in Berlin

Please notice: The Berlin Senate has decided that the 2G access plan will become mandatory in all Berlin archives during the next week!

Dear user of the Evangelical Central Archives,

our reading room is accessible from Monday to Thursday under certain conditions:

1. You have to reserve your working place in advance. Please write an email to reservierung@ezab.de. Do not visit the Archives without your personal booking confirmation.

2. You have to present a current point-of-care (PoC) antigen test which is not older than 24 hours. Exempt from submission of a point-of-care (PoC) antigen test are, on the one hand, fully vaccinated individuals (proof by vaccination certificate) and, on the other hand, convalescents who can demonstrate prior infection by a PCR test that dates back at least 28 days and no more than 6 months.

3. You have to observe the hygiene conditions, particularly the social distancing and the obligation to wear a medical face mask or a FFP2 mask, which you must bring with you.

During the pandemic situation our on-site service is limited in order to prevent infections. Please clarify all questions during the preliminary stage of your visit by using telephone or email.

Depending on the further development of the COVID‑19 situation we may be forced to close the Reading Room once again and to cancel the booked appointments without offering alternative dates. Any changes of the situation will be published on this website.
